The Institute of Health Research and Development (IIHRD), affiliated with the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, is a pioneering hybrid research and implementation institution committed to advancing healthcare innovation in Nigeria and Africa.
IIHRD is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of health knowledge, enhancing patient care, and driving impactful healthcare solutions through research, technical assistance, advocacy, policy development, implementation science, and health systems strengthening.
Partnering with local communities, academic institutions, governmental bodies, and global organizations, IIHRD fosters collaboration to address critical health challenges. A key priority is the training and development of the next generation of African scientists, ensuring sustainable progress in health research and innovation.
